Mina is Online Safety and Video Conference Lead for Schools for the LB of Redbridge. She has championed video conferencing for education in the UK for over 15 years. She is currently co-chair of the Global VC Education Group (GVCEG) and Co-ordinator and founder of the National VC Education Group (NVCEG) in the UK. In her previous role, as the Executive Director, of Video Conferencing for Global Learning her company delivered English classes to children in south America, winning an AV Award in 2017 for Breakthrough Company of the Year. Mina is a TEDx speaker: her talk, “Rise of the Global Teacher” outlines how video conferencing can impact pupils learning through connecting to global experts. Mina’s work as an adviser and consultant for the London Borough of Redbridge has involved her initiating and delivering global projects, connecting classrooms to remote locations in Brazil, Tanzania, France, Croatia and content providers from Australia and Indonesia and beyond.
