Jason has been in the industry for over 30 years. Initially starting his career in broadcast with the BBC he fell into the world of AV by accident and has never managed to climb out as the sides are just too slippery. He has worked extensively in both integration and consultancy in his time and has a broad range of experience in many kinds of projects. Jason is also passionate about Standards development and implementation and is currently serving his second term on the AVIXA Standards Steering Committee. He has previously won the Volunteer of the Year award from AVIXA for his efforts. Knowledge sharing is also important to Jason - he has spoken publicly and internationally about Standards development and implementation, and delivers electrical safety training for the Institute of Sound Communication and Video Engineers. In his spare time, he designs and operates sound and lighting for theatre and live music performances and runs a technical youth group for those developing skills in this area as he is getting too old for all the running up and down ladders.
