Amelia Kallman is a leading London futurist, speaker, and author. Recently named one of the Top 20 World-Leading Futurist Speakers, as well as one of the Top 40 Future of CX Leaders and Top 12 Female Voices in London Tech, she has spoken at over 100 conferences across 20+ countries, addressed the House of Lords and the U.N., written industry-leading reports, and regularly consults for a number of Fortune 500 companies.

I am Head of Audio Visual (AV) for Imperial College. I manage and control the delivery of complex technical installations in both new buildings and room upgrades/refurbishments. I also manage the in-house Audio Visual team who support all the AV across our campus’s. I help ensure that our students and staff have access to an evolving suite of products that meets their AV needs, as well as aligning future investments and technologies in a manner that supports the university's overall progressive business strategy and desire for innovation.

Catherine is AV Operations Manager at King’s College London leading the delivery and support of AV services across the university. Starting as an AV Technician, she has also worked as a Theatre Technician, Theatre Manager, and as AV Production Lead. She is on the executive committee of schoms, and is especially keen on supporting people in the industry as much as the technology, strongly advocate for learning, development, and making the sector more visible to young people.

Dan has worked in the creative industries for over 40 years, since joining the Architectural Association in central London as AV technician, straight from school in 1981. In the intervening years he has balanced work in the technology world with his passion for music. Dan has toured and recorded with multiple well known acts over the years playing Trombone, alongside his Audio Visual work for events, integrators and in media production. Having installed AV displays in many of the major art galleries around the globe, such as MOMA in New York and Beaubourg (Centre Pompidou) in Paris, he has for the last 17 years been busy as Audio Visual Service Manager for the Tate. Running teams at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, he has responsibilities across all the family of Tate galleries to help support his colleagues’ use of sound, image, lighting, stage & set for exhibitions, performances and events of all kinds imaginable

Dave Patten has recently (June 2024) retired as  Head of New Media at The Science Museum Group, UK, where his role included managing all aspects of new media and AV, from conceptual design, prototyping and production to project managing external developers and production companies. He has a background in electronics and computer science, and worked at the Science Museum nearly 40 years, developing exhibitions and leading development teams. He developed the technical systems for the Science Museum’s Wellcome Wing and Dana Centre, which opened in 2000 and 2004 respectively. Recent work includes Web Lab, the multi-award winning collaboration with Google, Engineering Your Future, an interactive exhibition for teenagers on engineering and a secondment to Frost Science in Miami to help develop exhibitions and systems for a new museum which opened in 2017. As well as managing the New Media team spread across multiple sites at the Science Museum Group he also ran the Science Museum Groups Digital Lab Initiative which experiments in emerging technologies. Dave is now an Honorary Senior Research Associate at the Science Museum Group researching and documenting the museum's recent past particularly it’s use of technology from a non curatorial perspective. 

Dorothy Di Stefano is a globally recognized art curator and creative strategist, known for pioneering immersive and interactive art experiences. As the founder of Molten, she connects visionary artists with world-class cultural projects, transforming public spaces through storytelling and innovation. With a passion for placemaking and a sharp eye for emerging trends, Dorothy curates impactful experiences that blur the lines between art, technology, and audience engagement.

Emma worked extensively in live production, specialising in audio before moving to help establish a dedicated systems integration business to service existing and new customers.  Starting with mainly live performance venues the business quickly expanded into hospitality, houses of worship, education and corporate.  After a decade, Emma decided to create her own AV Design Consultancy in order to better explore new opportunities.  Octavius Re was established in 2016 and has since been linked with many high-profile names in Hospitality and Corporate sector.  In early 2025,  joined TAD as a Project Manager to help the ever expanding team deliver a diverse range of corporate and experiential projects.

Since beginning his career in higher education technology in 2006, Graeme has developed extensive expertise in AV system design and technology-enhanced learning environments. Now leading AV and learning environment design at Nottingham Trent University, he specialises in scalable, user-centred AV solutions and has delivered multiple innovative, award-nominated projects. A member of the schoms executive committee since 2020, Graeme is the incoming Executive Director and an active contributor to the wider Higher Ed AV and end user communities.

Marcus Saunders, Associate Director, Technical Resource and learning Environments, London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London  Marcus is an Academic Technologist with thirty years of experience in UK Higher Education operating at the nexus of IT-centric AV, UX / space design, digital futures and pedagogic innovation. As digital lead for the London College of Fashion, Saunders recently delivered the technology enhanced learning systems and services at scale that inhabit a striking newbuild campus development at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as well as a world-first Virtual Production research volume for the Fashion Technology and Textiles Institute.

Technical Design leader with 20+ years’ experience delivering AV, broadcast, event, and experiential technology across immersive, event, corporate, and residential environments. I lead technical design from early concept through to delivery, bridging creative ambition with technical strategy, commercial clarity, and buildable systems. My background spans consultancy, design, deployment, live events, and global programme leadership. I have built and led international teams, developed technical standards, managed major budgets, and delivered complex projects across EMEA and APAC. I bring a clear, practical leadership style focused on quality, collaboration, and turning design intent into delivered reality.

Patrick recently completed managing the award winning delivery team, delivering the technology stack for AIA’s Group Office Headquarters here in Hong Kong; he is now the Global Data Centre and Trading Floor Portfolio Programme Director at Turner and Townsend, seconded to Standard Chartered Bank, based in Hong Kong.

Patrick brings over 30 years of experience managing technology-based projects in built environments. His career is marked by a passion for property technology and a keen ability to translate client and stakeholder requirements into practical, tangible outcomes. Whether leading strategic initiatives or engaging in tactical projects, he is driven by delivering beyond clients’ expectations. With expertise covers a broad portfolio, from base building and pre-construction projects to advising on building and facilities management procedures. His deep understanding of real estate functions and technology, especially critical facilities allows him to create business-driven solutions that enhance the user experience.

Richard is a Director at Fios Studios, and has a history of delivering experiential and innovative technology solutions through a combination of hardware, software, content, and AI. With over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, he began his career in lighting control before moving into AV integration, control system programming, and eventually, technology consultancy. Richard has worked globally across a wide range of sectors, collaborating with clients and design teams on projects of varying scale and complexity. Richard consistently prioritises user experience, drawing on insights from past projects, technological advancements, and personal expertise to inform each new challenge.

Ross Turnbull is an Associate Consultant at SM&W London, with 10+ years of experience in the AV industry. He has experience across a wide range of sectors including Corporate, Higher Education, Residential and Broadcast. At SM&W he provides design and project management services for an array of clients across the globe, focusing on requirements led design and user representation. His professional interests center on the growing applications of AI in AV, the accelerating convergence of traditional AV, Broadcast and IT, and the continual sustainability challenges facing the industry.

IT / AV professional with many years’ experience working on AV/Media projects within IT departments for companies across several sectors, including finance, retail, consultancy and media. The last 20 years working for large financial institutions Globally  on projects within IPTV, digital signage and room based technologies.
